Southwest Transport Co. has been in business since 1971. It was once a transport division of a large local construction company, which was very prevalent in the processing and transport of aggregate materials, road construction, civil construction and produced/placed HMA materials, as well as a producer and supplier of concrete, and was an experienced marine contractor.

Southwest Transport was created as a supporting body to the many needs and requirements of the aforementioned contractor.

In 1991, as some of the original founders and stockholders sought out retirement, Southwest Transport came under new management, and is now a family owned business, which began to branch out and diversify its own operations.

It is Southwest Transport’s mission to provide excellent products and services to our clients at a fair price, and to provide our employees with a safe work environment, compensating them fairly for their services.

Southwest Transport is a fully licensed contractor, and has been accredited with the Better Business Bureau since 2001. We are also members of Associated Builders and Contractors, the Hartford Area Chamber of Commerce and the Michigan Chamber of Commerce.
